Q: What is TranslationZilla?
A: Translationzilla allows you to learn new languages while playing games, and compare your language skills with your friends and other language enthusiasts.
Q: Why the name "TranslationZilla"?
A: It simply combines translation plus the 'zilla' from 'godzilla', as in 'translation monster'. We thought it was a fun name :)
Q: Who are you?
A: We are two humble entrepreneurs who currently run this website part-time. The entire team that brought you this website is from Australia, China, France, Germany, Italy and the UK.
Q: How do I get started?
A: You can register in a few seconds and start playing language learning games immediately.
Q: How does it work?
A: As registered user you play timed games that test your language skills, and compare the resulting score with other friends and language enthusiasts.
VIP members will be able to view their answers after each game, and send messages to other users.
Q: How many words can I learn, and in what languages?
A: We currently have more than 1000 words in our database in English, Chinese, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Hindi, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Russian.
Q: Why learn a foreign language?
A: This is best explained with a few stories:
A mother mouse and a baby mouse are walking along, when all of a sudden, a cat attacks them. The mother mouse goes, "BARK!" and the cat
runs away. "See?" says the mother mouse to her baby. "Now do you see why it's important to learn a foreign language?"

A Swiss guy visiting Sydney, Australia, pulls up at a bus stop where two locals are waiting. "Entschuldigung, koennen Sie Deutsch sprechen?" he asks.
The two Aussies just stare at him. "Excusez-moi, parlez vous Francais?" he tries.
The two continue to stare. "Parlare Italiano?" No response. "Hablan ustedes Espanol?" Still nothing.
The Swiss guy drives off, extremely disgusted. The first Aussie turns to the second and says, "Y'know, maybe we should learn a foreign language."
"Why?" says the other. "That guy knew four languages, and it didn't do him any good."

Q: Have you ever wondered why foreigners have trouble with the English Language?
A: Let's face it
English is a stupid language.
There is no egg in the eggplant.
No ham in the hamburger.
And neither pine nor apple in the pineapple.
English muffins were not invented in England.
French fries were not invented in France.
If writers write, how come fingers don't fing.
If the plural of tooth is teeth,
shouldn't the plural of phone booth be phone beeth.
If the teacher taught,
why didn't the preacher praught.
If a vegetarian eats vegetables
what the heck does a humanitarian eat!?
Why do people recite at a play
yet play at a recital?
Park on driveways and
drive on parkways.
English was invented by people, not computers
and it reflects the creativity of the human race
(which of course isn't a race at all).
